Dude, Don't Quit Your Day Job

Suffolk County Police Sixth Squad detectives are investigating the armed robbery of a 72-year old woman in a store parking lot in Farmingville.

The victim was walking in the Kmart parking lot, located at 2260 North Ocean Ave., on May 3 at approximately 3:40 p.m. when she was approached by a man who was driving a dark-colored vehicle. The man had a 10 dollar bill in his hand and asked the woman for change of the bill. She said she did not have any money. The suspect then told her if she didn’t have anything, he would have to shoot her. He then pulled out what appeared to be a handgun. The victim opened her wallet and he removed two dollars and drove away.

The suspect is described as having a tan complexion, long face and 18 to 20 years old. He had short dark hair and was wearing a dark-colored t-shirt. Sixth Squad detectives are asking any witnesses to this incident or anyone who may have come in contact with this suspect to contact the Sixth Squad at 631-854-8652 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS.
