Mount Sinai Attack

Suffolk County Police Sixth Squad detectives are investigating the sexual assault of a bartender at a Mount Sinai bar.

Two white men entered Secrets Lounge, located at 164 Route 25A, Mount Sinai , ordered drinks and engaged the bartender in conversation on February 3 at approximately 3:30 p.m. While the bartender was setting up a food area, approximately 20 minutes later, she was approached from behind, struck in the head and facial area, and knocked to the floor. While on the floor, she was sexually assaulted. During the assault, one of the men asked her how they can access the cash register. After the attack, the men fled the scene and no proceeds were taken. No other customers were in the establishment at the time of the attack.

One of the men is described as a white man in his early to mid-30s, approximately 5 feet 10 inches tall, with a medium build and appeared to have reddish-brown or blond hair. He was clean-shaven, with blue eyes and was wearing a brown knit cap.

The second man is described as a white man in his early to mid-30s, approximately 5 feet 5 inches tall, with a medium build, and appeared to have brown hair. He was wearing a dark baseball cap, has brown eyes, a darker complexion than the first suspect, with a thin chin-strap beard and goatee.

Both men were wearing multiple layers of clothes indicating that they may have been engaged in outdoor employment or activity.
