Mastic Man Loses Life In Crash

Suffolk County Police Fifth Squad detectives are investigating a motor vehicle crash that claimed the life of a motorcyclist in Yaphank yesterday.

Craig Elberth was driving a 2003 Suzuki motorcycle westbound on Horseblock Road when he collided with a tractor trailer that was being driven by Allen Flore at 12:15 p.m. Flore was traveling eastbound on Horseblock Road and was turning left onto Grucci Lane when the crash occurred. Elberth, 23, of Terry Drive , Mastic, was pronounced dead at the scene by a physician assistant from the Suffolk County Medical Examiner’s Office. Flore, 43, of Shirley, was not injured.

The Suzuki was impounded for a safety check. The tractor trailer, owned by Patriot Equipment, was inspected by the Motor Carrier Safety Section. Detectives are investigating if speed was a factor in the crash.

Why are they covering this up, the truck driver was making an illegal turn, he was turning right when the arrow and a sign plainly indicate NO RIGHT TURN, Stevie Wonder could see that,
Oh yeah the county and police department dont get their pockets lined by Craig's parents.
If they would look into the drivers illegal turn and the marks on the road they would see the cause of the accident was not speed but failure to obey posted signs,by a driver who is suppose to be a PROFESSIONAL, he only makes me and other truck drivers look bad, and the worst part of it, The company drivers are still doing it, making those illegal right turns, and the cops and the county turn a blind eyed towards it. Talk about BLIND JUSTICE
