All In The Family For The Halls

Suffolk County Police Seventh Precinct Officers, assisted by Department of Social Services and SPCA personnel, have charged five family members with seven counts of Endangering the Welfare of a Child, after they found seven children living in deplorable conditions.

The children, a 13-year-old girl, two six-year-old boys, a five-year old girl, a three-year-old girl, a three-year-old boy and a two-year-old girl lived in a house that had no running water, heat or hot water; with animals and animal feces littering the floors.

The following family members were arrested:

Richard Hall, 61, of 42 Locust Drive, Mastic Beach
Bernadette Hall, 36, of 42 Locust Drive, Mastic Beach
April Hall, 27, of 42 Locust Drive, Mastic Beach
Eamon Hall, 23, of 42 Locust Drive, Mastic Beach
Krystal Hall, 21, of 42 Locust Drive, Mastic Beach

They were held overnight for Arraignment at First District Court, Central Islip, on June 12, 2009.

In addition, the Suffolk County SPCA issued four summonses and the house was condemned by Brookhaven Town inspectors (wow, they're actually doing their job!).

The children were placed in the custody of Child Protective Services.

These "people", if you wish to call them that, should not have bail, nor ever have custody of even a cat. You really have to be an animal to do this to children.
